Who Offers Bridal Boudoir?

As you will find, photographers, whether they are embedded in the wedding industry or not, embrace boudoir as an art and expressive medium that captures true natural beauty. Boudoir sessions are not only widely accepted, but celebrated and you have more options than you realize!

You also have the option to spend hours surfing the internet for photographers, services, and everything in between, or you can trust that we’ve already done the hard work for you and find all our carefully selected recommendations for you here.

Your options typically fall into two categories: you can choose to add a boudoir session offered through your preferred wedding photographer, OR you can explore services offered by a boudoir specialist.

Wedding Photographer or Boudoir Specialist?

Have you chosen your wedding photographer yet? Ask them about boudoir! Many wedding photographers offer boudoir sessions where you can book an all-in-one package deal. Brides often find this the most convenient and time-saving option. By booking an all-inclusive package you are also developing a more trusting and comfortable relationship with your photographer, which will work in your favor come the day of your wedding. You will feel more at ease with the artist and how they work to capture the most tender and sacred moments that you’ll look back and remember for years to come.

But depending on your situation, you may decide this is not the right option for you. Or perhaps your preferred photographer does not offer boudoir services. An alternative option is to hire a boudoir specialist whose expertise is in capturing the more intimate, sexier side of you. These artists tend to offer a more immersive experience and usually comes with more style options, ideas, props and customizable packages suitable to your every desire.

When it comes time to choose the person who you want taking pictures of you in your most exposed fashion, make sure you choose the right one. This might take a little more work than finding the best plumber in your area. It is our sincere recommendation that you take time to meet with your photographer beforehand, consult with them, explore your options. The best boudoir portraits are taken by artists who truly understand their clients, develop a trusting relationship, and make you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

How Far Ahead Should I Schedule Before My Wedding?

Did you hire a wedding planner or are you orchestrating everything yourself? Either way, you’ll need to include plenty of wiggle room for your boudoir photography journey, beginning to end.

Rule of thumb – there’s no such thing as booking too early. But if you are timing your session to have everything finalized and ready the eve before your big day, we would strongly advise to book at least two months in advance. This will allow you plenty of time to secure a date on your photographer’s busy schedule, to process and edit the thousand(s) of photos they took of you, to cherry-pick the best ones you’ll keep for forever, and develop the final printed product or bind the album you’ll give to your soon-to-be spouse.

All of these steps take time. It would even be wise to establish a written timeline with your photographer for each step, and keep on schedule for when to expect finalized product-in-hand. They will be familiar with the whole process and can work with you and your wedding schedule. You’ll have lots of moving parts as you get closer to the day, it’s always better to air on the side of caution.

Your first step starts here.
